We all check the forecast for weather, but what about air? The NC Division of Air Quality monitors pollution levels across the state and provides a forecast to help you make informed decisions.
CLEAN COMMUTE CHALLENGE
Minimizing vehicle emissions is one of the most powerful steps our community can take to improve air quality. Challenge your friends and coworkers to make a positive change!
The Air Awareness Business Coalition is a group of local organizations that value a clean, healthy environment and empower employees to improve theirs.
Charlotte Air Awareness (CAA) partners with the community to improve local air quality. CAA is the regional arm of the NC Air Awareness program administered by the NC Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality. Here in the Charlotte metro region, the program provides outreach and education to residents, businesses and schools on air pollution, health impacts and voluntary pollution-reduction strategies.
Charlotte Air Awareness serves the entire Charlotte metro area, including Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Union and York (SC) Counties. In addition to the Charlotte area, the NC Air Awareness program is represented in the Western NC, Unifour, Fayetteville, Triad and Triangle areas.
